Local Priorities Violent crime Concern Update - Male arrested

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Violent crime, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

On 02/09/2025 LANSBURY SNT were out on joint patrols with POPLAR SNT. Around POPLAR HIGH STREET E14 an officer recognised a male who was wanted for a Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) offence where he had used a weapon against the victim on the LANSBURY WARD, but he evaded the officer on this occasion. Around 15 minutes later he was spotted on a bike riding towards officers. Even though he sped up towards us we managed to detain him and he was arrested for various offences including the GBH
